So what law was Jesus talking about? In Galatians, Paul says, All who rely on the works of the law are under a curse, that the law can't give life, and the law is a prison.
But when a person asked Jesus, Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said to him, What is written in the law? How do you read it? And he answered, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.
And he said to him, You have answered correctly. Do this, and you will live.
When the rich young man asked Jesus what he must do to inherit eternal life, Jesus said, Keep the Commandments, ' and specifically starts listing the Ten Commandments and ends with, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself. ' When Jesus has asked, 'What is the greatest commandment? ' He says the same thing and adds, 'All the law and the prophets hang on these two Commandments
Here's what you are never taught in church. That is now clear from the documents of the Ebionites, discovered with the Dead Sea scrolls The Ibianites were successors to the Essene Jews. We know this because their beliefs about the Torah and spiritual practices and their community rules were nearly identical to those described by historians Josephus and Philo.
The Essene taught that the law of Moses had been corrupted from its original form.We know the Jewish wise men and priests were indoctrinated into the ways of Babylon during captivity. Biblical historical scholars widely agree the Torah was heavily revised during and after Babylonian captivity. Jeremiah 8: 8 says, The lying pens of the scribes made God's law into a lie.
We also know that animal and human blood sacrifice to appease the gods was originally an ancient pagan practice to Satanic entities. So the Essenes completely rejected the blood sacrifice system and sought to reform the law to its original state and purpose. Since Jesus' teachings and practices align closely with the Essenes, we can conclude Jesus's law was not the paganized law of the pharisees
but God's true law. Paul was indoctrinated as a pharisee, so of course, Paul interpreted Jesus through his pharisee lens.
